This is where it all started for Agro Care, in 1997. That first greenhouse has since grown into an area of 24 hectares, spread over three greenhouses. We even still have two employees from the very beginning: crop manager Patrick de Jongste and senior crop manager Danny van der Made,' says branch director Stijn Weijns. Agro Care produces mini plum tomatoes and cherry tomatoes in the three greenhouses at the site. The tomatoes benefit from slightly more light in Zeeland than in the Westland or North Holland. The area of greenhouses in Rilland makes Agro Care an important employer in an area with relatively little activity. When the local supply of personnel falls short, temporary workers step in.
